Bristol Eastern wrestling takes first place at Kohl Invitational

BRISTOL - Bristol Eastern wrestling finished in first place at the Kohl Invitational with 297.5 points, well ahead of second place finisher Monroe-Woodbury (225.5 points).

The Lancers had seven finalists and three champions.

Bryce Beebe (106 pounds), Diego Fernandez (145 pounds) and Michael Barrett (160 pounds) all finished in first place in their weight class.

Barrett was also named the Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament by the officials.

There were 13 other place finishers for Bristol Eastern.

Mason Lishness (99 pounds) placed fourth. 

Trent Thompson (106 pounds) placed third. 

Tom Nichols and Noah Corliss each placed in the 120 pound class. Nichols was third and Corliss was fourth.

Carson Sassu (126 pounds) placed third.

Gabe Soucy (132 pounds) placed fifth.

Noah Piazza (138 pounds) placed fourth.

Dylan Levesque (170 pounds) placed second.

Keegan Bartis (182 pounds) placed fourth.

Trinidad Gonzalez (195 pounds) placed second.

Hidekal Mangual (220 pounds) placed second.

Andrew Cercone (Heavyweight) placed third.
