BRISTOL - The Terryville boys basketball team may have had to wait to face its rival Thomaston due to the postponement last week with condensation on the floor but it didn’t matter as the Kangaroos took down the Golden Bears 58-46 on Thursday night.
Colin Bamrick led the charge for Terryville with 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Bamrick got strong play out his teammates as well.
Adam Pelz led the Kangaroos with 15 points and Mike Tiscia chipped in 13 of his own.
Seven different Terryville players scored in the third quarter to extend its lead to 46-29 going into the fourth.
“Our guys fed off the energy of the big crowd and it really helped us on the defensive end,” Kangaroos head coach Mark Fowler said. “We have found a nice groove the past few games. And it has been with energy on defense and making the extra pass on the offensive end.”
Berlin 45, Bristol Eastern 42: The Lancers fell just short in a close loss to Berlin 45-42 on Tuesday night.
Berlin’s Mike McCarthy hit a 3-pointer with nine seconds remaining in regulation for the winning score.
