Bristol Eastern girls basketball rides dominant second quarter to victory over Wethersfield

The Bristol Eastern girls basketball team rode a dominant second quarter to a 59-51 victory over visiting Wethersfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Lancers outscored the Eagles 20-2 in that second period, erasing an early deficit. Wethersfield came back with a strong third quarter to make the game close, but couldn’t close the gap.

Hannah Maghini led Bristol Eastern (3-3) with 21 points, with Jordan Ouellette and Paige McLaughlin adding 12 each and Miranda Janick netting 11.

Wethersfield (3-3) was led by Nicole Gwynn (18 points) and Zoe Adams (12).
