SIMSBURY - Bristol Central’s boys cross country team placed third in the large varsity division with 55 points, while its girls squad was seventh with 155 points in Saturday’s Stratton Brook Invitational.

“We had a strong showing today against tough Simsbury and Staples teams. The boys continue to train hard and look better every week,” head coach Tamara Stafford-Kirk reported.

“I’m really proud of my girls team. Our numbers are on the lower side this year, but I’ve got a quality group of girls out and they are off to a strong start,” Stafford-Kirk reported.
