Bristol Central boys cross country places 13th, Terryville 19th, at State Open

MANCHESTER - After strong showing in their respective class championship meets, the Bristol Central and Terryville boys cross country teams made sure to do the same at the State Open.

Both the Rams and the Kangaroos placed in Thursday’s meet, the only local teams to do so.

Bristol Central placed 13th with 274 points. Nate Deangelo, Mark Petrosky, Devin Flores, Pacifico Flores, Jose Ramirez, Benjamin Stafford and Ian Kreciglowa were the team’s top runners.

Deangelo had the best placement for the Rams, finishing 27th overall with a time of 16:52. Petrosky (17:16, 46th), Devin Flores (17:26, 52nd), Pacifico Flores (17:27, 53rd) and Ramirez (18:21, 96th) were the other top four runners in terms of time for Bristol Central.

Terryville placed 19th overall with 494 points. Chris Deforest, Colby Brown, CJ Hart, Conor Garrity, Nicholas Zappone, Nicholas Fusco and Noah McCoy were its top runners.

Deforest took 30th thanks to a time of 16:58. He was followed by Brown (18:47, 111th), Hart (18:47, 112th), Garrity (18:57, 117th) and Zappone (19:40, 124th).
