Roundup: After loss to Eastern, Bristol Central girls volleyball rebounds for win over Wethersfield

WETHERSFIELD - After suffering a loss earlier this week, the Bristol Central girls volleyball team picked up the pieces for a 3-0 win over Wethersfield Friday evening.

The Rams beat the Eagles in set scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-15.

Amanda Warner led the Rams with five aces and 14 digs while teammate Kathryn Ross had six kills and one block and Peyton Greger had six aces.

Central (9-2) will next host Berlin on Tuesday.


Bristol Eastern 2, Middletown 0: Myah Croze continues to be a playmaker for the Lancers as they recorded their first win of the season. On a pass from Ciara Collins and Kailey Laprise, Croze finds the back early in the first half for Bristol Eastern. The second goal came from Collins on a pass from Laprise.

The Lancers are now 1-4-2 on the season and will host Platt on Monday.


Bristol Central 4, Berlin 2: Four different Rams were able to find the back of the net Friday evening. David Bowes, Carson Rivoira, Andrew Oren, Diego Naranjo each scored for Central. As for Berlin it was John Downes and Adam Kozubal. The Rams improve to 3-3-2 on the season while Berlin falls to 2-1-6.
