HARTFORD - It may have been on the road, but the Bristol Central boys basketball team felt right at home against Enfield at Bulkeley High School in a CCC Tournament quarterfinal matchup.

The Rams once again proved they're a team to be reckoned with, using a strong second half to propel them to their 74-69 win Saturday.

Bristol Central's Noah Plantamuro delivered a pair of clutch free throws to ice the game for the Rams with 23 seconds to go in regulation.

Plantamuro finished with 11 points in the contest.

"We battled hard all game," Bristol Central head coach Tim Barrette said. "It was two good teams going at it. We were able to overcome 1-for-12 shooting in the first half from 3-point range."

The Rams hit 3-of-6 from 3-point land in the second half.

Jaekwon Spencer and Alex Bernier both had double-doubles for the Rams.

Bernier had 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Spencer finished with 27 points and 14 rebounds.

For Enfield, Jadon Archer had a game-high 31 points. While his performance was dominant, Bristol Central's Dathan Hickey was able to slow him down in the second half, holding him to just 10 points.

Isaiah Miller and Hickey both added seven points for the Rams.

Bristol Central will face the winner of East Catholic (No. 1) and Glastonbury (No. 8) in the semifinals on Tuesday. The two teams play in the quarterfinals tonight at 7 p.m.
