ROUNDUP: St. Paul girls soccer on impressive run to begin season

BRISTOL - The St. Paul girls soccer team continued its strong start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Wednesday afternoon.

Brianna Senese led the way for the Falcons, scoring both goals.

Goalkeeper Nina Zwolinski continued her torrid start with six saves.

With the win, St. Paul is still undefeated, at 3-0-1.

The Falcons will travel to Woodland for their third game of the week on Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.

Rocky Hill 1, Bristol Eastern 0: Rocky Hill’s Karalina Valent scored on a corner kick that came at the 15 minute mark in Tuesday’s game. Her goal was assisted by Sara Zarrilli.

Rocky Hill outshot Bristol Eastern 11-8, as Karly Martin had 6 saves for the Lancers.


Bristol Central 3, Bloomfield 0: Bristol Central won each set against Bloomfield by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-18.

Ashleigh Clark had 14 assists for the Rams. Kathryn Ross led the way with six aces and Xia’ian Carrasco and Brianna Saverino each had five kills.
