Bristol Blues win season opener on road over Worcester Bravehearts

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Bristol Blues won their season opener on Thursday night, defeating the Worcester Bravehearts 3-1.

Michael Genaro went the first five innings for the Blues, allowing just three hits and no runs over five innings. Mark Silvestri (2 IP, 2 hits, 1 unearned run) got the win, with Neal McDermott recording the save.

Alex Baumann led Bristol's offense, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Two hit batters, two errors and a walk pushed in the winning runs for the Blues in the seventh inning.
