Bristol Blues pile on runs in rout of visiting Nashua Silver Knights

BRISTOL - The Bristol Blues scored all of their runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings on their way to a 15-2 rout of the Nashua Silver Knights at Muzzy Field on Tuesday night.

The Blues put up three in the third and another six in the fourth before the Silver Knights got on the board in the top of the fifth. But Bristol widened its lead again in the bottom of the frame, scoring six more runs.

Garrett Blaylock and Jayson Gonzalez each had four RBI, while Ben Maycock has two of his own. Three other Blues had one RBI apiece. Blaylock led Bristol with four hits and four other players hit two each. The Blues outhit the Silver Knights 14-5.

Kyle Hodgson remained undefeated, improving to 3-0 this season. In six innings of work, he struck out four and walked none.

David Stiehl, Hayden Manning and Joel Torres split the last three innings of work evenly, during which time Nashua only got two base runners (two walks).
