BROCKTON, Mass. - The Blues fell behind early and could not recover on their way to a 10-7 loss on the road to the Brockton Rox.

Down 10-3 entering the final frame, the Blues rallied for four runs in the ninth inning, keyed by a Jake Frasca three-run double with no outs. Frasca was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a triple, however, and while the Blues managed to get the tying run to the plate, a double-play grounder ended the game.

Bristol starter David Stiehl only lasted three innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits in addition to issuing three walks.

Mark Tumosa drove in the Blues’ only run in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly that scored Brandon Grover. Mitch Williams’ double drove in another run in the form of Frasca in the sixth and Bristol tacked on another run when the Rox committed two errors on one play.
