Staff report

The Bristol Blues suffered a bad blow to their hopes of hosting a first round playoff game, losing on the road to the Brockton Rox on Sunday, 4-1. The Blues trail the Rox for fifth place in the playoff hunt.

An error on a sacrifice bunt eventually allowed the Rox to load the bases in the seventh inning, setting the stage for two unearned runs to score on an RBI single by Eric Feliz to break a 1-1 tie and give Brockton a 3-1 lead.

Frankie Gregoire had hit an RBI single to drive in Lorenzo Arcuri with the tying run in the top of the sixth.

Brockton reliever John Saviano held the Blues hitless over the final two innings to pick up a save.
