Cockayne concedes Bristol mayoral race to challenger Zoppo-Sassu

BRISTOL – Republican incumbent Ken Cockayne has conceded the Bristol mayoral race to Democratic challenger Ellen Zoppo-Sassu.

The latest totals had Zoppo-Sassu in the lead with 7,387 votes to Cockayne’s 5,026.

“We've accomplished a lot,” Cockayne said. “It's been a pleasure serving as mayor.”
