New Britain's Polish American Foundation to offer lessons in making colorful Polish Easter eggs

NEW BRITAIN - Pisanki - colorfully decorated Easter eggs - are a Polish tradition, and the Polish American Foundation is offering everyone interested an opportunity to create their own on Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8, at the PAF’s Sloper-Wesoly House, 27 Grove Hill St.

Two classes will be offered on March 7, at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and one class is scheduled for March 8 at noon.

A materials fee of $20 for PAF members and $15 for nonmembers will be charged, which includes all class supplies as well as wax and a tool to take home. All participants will be able to keep the pisanki they create in the class. No artistic ability is necessary.

Class sizes are limited and preregistration by March 1 is mandatory. No walk-ins will be allowed. Children ages 8 and up are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
