Polish National Home to host tributes to Beatles, Prince

HARTFORD - The Polish National Home will host two events honoring music legends Prince and the Beatles.

On Saturday, March 24, the sounds of the 1960s “British Invasion” will come alive at “An Evening of Beatlemania,” featuring cover band The Hofners.

The Hofners will perform Beatles hits from their early years though their classic 1967 album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

Tickets are $45 per person for a cabaret-style dinner or $30 for balcony seating, show only.

Cocktails and appetizers will be served 30 minutes before the show starts. The first set begins at 7 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 8 p.m. and the second set at 9 p.m.

Then on Saturday, April 21, the second anniversary of Prince’s death, a tribute performance will be offered by the band Purple Luscious Love.

Purple Luscious Love is a funk, rock, soul and R&B group based in Hartford. Their musical influences include Prince as well as Lenny Kravitz, Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder.

Tickets for the Prince tribute concert are not on sale yet, but are expected to be no more than $30 general admission.
