NEW BRITAIN - Nothing’s more of a quintessential start to summer than a ball game, so start your summer off right with a baseball-themed First Friday at the New Britain Museum of American Art on Friday, July 7.

Music will be provided by The Chameleons, a local duo consisting of Justin Blackburn on drums and David Costa on vocals and guitar. They cover songs from a variety of genres and perform original compositions.

Many vendors will be on site, including the new Alvarium Beer Co. And what’s baseball without hot dogs? They will be provided by Martin Rosol.

Sting, the mascot of the New Britain Bees, will be on hand for photos and to answer all your Bees questions.

The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers and includes entry to the museum’s galleries and special exhibitions, activities, snacks and soft drinks. Well drinks are $4, calls $6 and top shelf $8 - cash only.

More information is available at or 860-229-0257.
